This was the introductory course for the Creative Business Leadership program. We received a general overview of the factors that affect the business world, and learned about various business strategy models over time. Over the course of the semester, we thoroughly examined a business of our choosing. I chose the Arts Center of Coastal Carolina!

This course was at the heart of what I learned at SCAD! This course served as the market research portion of my thesis project, which is a YouTube channel called Purple Buds. Click on the Graduate Final Project page for more details, or on the process links below.

In this class, we learned about how businesses are funded by investors. Using an actual Shark Tank pitch as the basis for our course project, we came up with a venture idea, and practiced how it might play out. The company I picked is called Kids Luv; I was able to speak with the founder of the company about her business plan, which was awesome! A fun course.

This course was about contemporary issues in interior design, and felt like a return to my roots. In this class, we read scholarship on many of the main issues facing the field of interior design today; for example, at the end of the quarter, I was part of a group project that presented on minority issues in interior design.
